Whether you are a junior sports competitor, an international elite, a coach or a sports parent, you will benefit from the powerful array of techniques and strategies for channelling and harnessing mental skills with the goal of improving overall performance.
Learn what works and what doesn't when it comes to performance enhancement and preparing for competition.
All the practical exercises found on this course have been tried and tested with my clients in competitive situations including World Championships and the Olympic Games. For the first time I have put them all into one place.
I'm Alan Heary and I prepare people to go beyond! I can help you achieve things that aren't possible for most humans.
I have helped people become Olympians and World Champions. Many other clients have finished some of the toughest Ultra Endurance events in the world when many others didn't think it was possible.
I know mental toughness! I don't just have all the qualifications, I live it. I run Ireland's most hardcore bike race and I compete in some of the world's toughest ultra endurance events including the Race Across America.
Now this knowledge is available to you through the Going In The Zone course. Not only that but I will work with you directly to help you achieve the success that you are looking for.
WARNING: This course is only for people who take their sport seriously and want to reach their full potential.

What others say about the Going In The Zone Programme
Ciaran Power - former pro-cyclist, Double RAS winner and two time Olympian
“My advice is to do Alan's programme. His insight into how athletes think is fantastic, but his ability to simplify things and easily integrated into your training and competition is what makes him different.”
Nick O’Hare - Olympic Swimmer and national record holder
“My advice for anyone taking their sport seriously is to do mental fitness training. I used Alan's programme for my Olympic preparations and the results were fantastic. You come out brimming full of confidence and feel as if you could accomplish anything”
Simon Linscheid – Olympic Athlete
“What surprised me most about following Alan's visualisation session was, that sitting in a chair going through his mental program, I was able to feel impulses in the nervous system, feel the muscle twitching. I had never felt that before and that was actually quite exciting. When I went to the Olympics, and I went to major International Competitions, I was much more focused and confident. Alan's programme is amazing and I would recommend it highly to anybody."
Anthony Schweppe - Professional Golfer
“It happened on the fifth hole of the Portmarnock links. I was talking to my team mates, and all of a sudden I remembered something Alan had said to me in a session and it just clicked. I picked up 6 shots in 4 holes.”
Padraig Marrey - One of Ireland's Ireland's Top Cycling Coaches
"I would recommend his programme to all athletes, no matter what discipline you do, I would also recommend it to coaches because it gives you tools that you can bring into your sporting environment and into your coaching sessions. It has been invaluable".
PJ Nolan - Former Cycling Ireland President and member of the Irish Olympic Committee
“Alan manages to blend his vast amount of academic knowledge into information that is precise and easy to understand and I would recommend his programme to all athletes and coaches”
Ciaran Conlan – National Athletics coach and trainer of Inter County GAA teams
“I always use Alan's programme with any team I am coaching. His programme is not just informative but interactive. I can without a doubt recommend it to all athletes and coaches.”

Who is the course suitable for?
Competitors who take their performance seriously. You don’t need to be the best sports person in the world but you must want to improve.
Coaches who want to learn new skills to lead their athletes or team to success
Parents who want to know how to motivate and encourage their children to reach their full potential.
Do you really give my money back if I don’t see improvements in my performance?
Absolutely! If in the first two weeks of signing up to the Going In The Zone course you feel the course is not for you, you will get a full refund.
How long is the course?
The course content is available to you for a full year. Think of it as 365 days of mental fitness training. You can do the course within your own time and dip in and out to implement new exercises to add to your workouts throughout the season. You will also be able to attend the FREE webinars within this time.
Are there going to be updates to the course?
The content for the course may develop over time and new exercises and podcasts as well as webinars on different topics and interviews with top athletes and coaches may be added. The good news is, all the updates are available for FREE as they are added.
Why are you putting this mental training programme online?
For two years now I have been working hard to develop a way of bringing the work I do with my clients online. Now, you can get the full mental training programme brought directly to your PC or mobile device.
I am not new to mental fitness training. Will I still benefit?
I coach cycling. I even coach coaches on how to coach cycling but I still have a cycling coach who sets out my training plans for me when I am preparing for huge events like the Race Across America. Why? Because I believe knowledge is not what gets results but accountability.
You may have a lot of knowledge but I can supply you with the accountability and structure you might find useful.
I am a parent of a child doing sport. What will I learn?
As a parent, you naturally want the best for your child, whether it’s in school, at home or in sports competition. But knowing how to help your child improve performance in sports without pressuring them is a fine line to walk. I work very closely with young athletes and their parents and with the techniques you will learn on this course you can help your child excel in sports and life!
I am a coach/ manager of a team. Does my full team need to sign up for the programme?
No. As a leader, you can learn a huge amount within the programme and implement it directly with your team.
